The five-star sold out production of The Years, directed by Elin Arbo, transfers to the West End’s Harold Pinter Theatre for 12 weeks only. Based on Nobel Prize winner Annie Ernaux’s fearless masterpiece, five actors create an unapologetic portrait of a woman shaped by her rapidly-changing world. Until 19 April.

A solo exhibition of new works by Ørnulf Opdahl is showing at Purdy Hicks Gallery in South Kensington. Until 22 February.

Available on BBC Sounds: a special episode of the World Book Club from the BBC World Service features author Anne Holt, one of Scandinavia’s most successful crime writers. Recorded at the largest public literature house in Europe, Litteraturhuset in Oslo, Anne Holt is joined by Harriett Gilbert in conversation.

Accomplished violinist Vilde Frang joins the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment at the Southbank Centre for a concert titled Beethoven: Hero/Rebel, featuring music composed at a time when Beethoven was increasingly distressed by his developing deafness.

Maria Schneider and Oslo Jazz Ensemble are coming to the Barbican Hall for one night as part of their European Tour.

Pom Poko, a Norwegian punk band making “noisy sugar coated songs” are returning to the UK on a tour including dates in Cardiff, London, Manchester, Leeds, Brighton and Margate.

Edvard Munch Portraits at the National Portrait Gallery will be the first exhibition in the UK to focus on this important, but sometimes overlooked, aspect of Munch’s work. The exhibition will show how Munch painted portraits as commissions and for personal reasons, with many pictures doubling up as icons or examples of the human condition despite being based on the direct observation of named individuals.

Following the recent release of their sixth studio album BirnaWardruna are touring with seven dates in the UK & Ireland, including at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
