Since our Deliveroo Doorstep Taste Tour commenced a few weeks ago, our Taste Tour hosts have feasted their way around the city, in search of the best London food spots on Deliveroo. Munya Chawawa and our Secret London presenter, Jess, have tested out restaurants recommended by the locals in North, South, East and West, as well as compiling a list of the Secret London team’s go-to Deliveroo orders – and a guide of delicious recs from our fantastically foodie audience.

Now it’s time to round things off with a final dose of top at-home dining tips with some recommendations from the Taste Tour hosts themselves…

Topping our Taste Tour hosts’ list of London food spots on Deliveroo is Poké bowls. They tick so many boxes when it comes to picking a takeaway. They’re fresh, healthy, full of flavour and perfect to customise. Our Taste Tour hosts’ fave place on Deliveroo for this is Poké House – the spicy tuna bowl with kimchi cucumber, crispy onions and a spicy peanut dressing being the top order.

We struggle to think of a Deliveroo that’ll leave you feeling more nourished and restored than a pho, and our Taste Tour hosts get theirs from Cay Tre. The show stopping dish on this menu has got to be the original beef pho packed with both steak, beef brisket.

We knew Munya was a big fan of Pizza Pilgrims – which is why we put him in touch with them to create his own limited edition pizza that many of you will have tried at our food giveaway! But aside from his special ‘The Fun-Guy’ pizza, their mushroom and truffle pizza with a ricotta base is always a winner!

From salmon teriyaki to chicken katsu curry, Tanakatsu’s menu offers authentic Japanese cuisine at its finest. Whatever mains you decide to order, make sure you get some succulent chicken kara-age on the side.

Pizzas, pastas, piadines and a selection of traditional Italian mains are what you’ll find on this London food spots menu – and we have it on good authority from our Taste Tour hosts that their margherita and tagliatelle bolognese are both absolutely chef’s kiss.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of eating a Burger and Lobster lobster roll will know that they’re the business. Drenched in garlic butter with a side of crispy French fries, it’s the ultimate decadent Deliveroo order if you’re feeling a bit fancy.

As you may have seen in our South London Taste Race video, our hosts were big fans of Tonkotsu’s nourishing ramen. But what has been their go-to on Deliveroo since then? The chilli chicken ramen with bamboo shoots and spring onions and a jammy boiled egg is like a new lease of life in a bowl.

After sitting down with co-founder, Will Bowlby, for an exclusive chat over a feast from Kricket (hand-picked by Will himself!), our Taste Tour hosts know how to order a Deliveroo from this menu like absolute pros. Thanks to Will’s excellent taste, they’re now frequently getting Keralan fried chicken, matar paneer, and king prawn moilee, all mopped up with some flaky paratha delivered straight to their front doors.

Santa Maria Pizzeria has got their chewy Neapolitan bases down to a fine art, meaning you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. But the San Giuseppe with wild broccoli, pork sausage and parmesan has got a special Taste Tour host seal of approval.

From wok-fried calamari with ginger and green peppercorn sauce and malt-marinated matchstick chicken to crispy fried duck noodles, Busaba’s menu has everything you want from a Thai menu – with a bit of extra pizazz sprinkled on top.

Vegan or not, there’s no denying that Mildred’s internationally-inspired menu is absolutely brimming with mouthwatering dishes. The chick’n shish kebab and white chocolate tiramisu are two things our Taste Tour hosts can’t get enough of.

Deliveroo-ing a fresh, fruity açai bowl to your front door is a sure fire way to get your morning off to a great start. And the best part is, you can customise it to come just how you like – topping it with everything from chocolate covered banana chips and crunchy peanut butter to frozen berries and chia seeds.

When the craving for Lebanese hits, the Taste Tour hosts’ go-to is Maroush. Their shawarma wrap filled with thin slices of juicy aromatic chicken, salad, pickles and garlic sauce is truly a fine thing. It goes perfectly with some hot mezze starters!
